yukarıdaki yazı wall street journal'da çıktı. yazının biraz detaylarına girmek istiyorum. siemens'in amerika division'n başına yeni ceo olarak eric spiegel getirilmiş. kendisi harvard mezunu. daha önce booz co. diye bir şirketin vice presidentiymiş kendiler.

peki kimin yerine gelmiş bu eric? george nolen'in. o da 26 yıldır siemens'te çaışıyormuş ve 2004-2010 arası ceo'luk yapmışç.

dünyadaki tüm siemenslerin başı ise peter solmssen. kendisi siemens'e GE'den geçti bu ağustosta. siemens dünyada 109 ülkede 405.000 insan çalıştırıyor ve cirosu 104milyar$.

Hattat prepares environment impact documents for EUR 1.4bn thermal power plant in Bartin

Local Hattat Holding informs that the company prepared the environmental impact assessment (EIA) documents for the EUR 1.4bn thermal power plant to be established in Bartin. The plant will have an installed capacity of 660×4 MW. The plant will provide jobs for 1,200 people.

Suzer Group takes full control of food company Turkent Gida. Suzer Group announces that it purchased a 50% stake in local food company Turkent Gida, which conducts the operations of fast food chains Kentucky Fried Chicken (KFC) and Pizza Hut in the country, and thus acquired the full control in the company. KFC and Pizza Hut have 41 and 40 restaurants in the country respectively.

Ronesans Insaat eyes construction companies in Europe. Chairman of construction company Ronesans Insaat, Erman Ilicak states that the company eyes acquisition opportunities in Europe. Noting that the company targets to be one of the top five construction companies in the world with these acquisitions, Ilicak says that Ronesans Insaat entered new markets such as the Caspian region, Qatar, Saudi Arabia and Libya. The company currently operates in nine countries, Ilicak notes and adds that it employs 10,000 people. The company has USD 1.8bn worth projects in Libya, Ilicak details as well as seven ongoing shopping mall projects in Turkey. Ilicak also says that Ronesans Insaat will launch an IPO in 2012.

Tosyali Group completes USD 1bn steel plant investment. Tosyalı Group completed the USD 1bn
investment for a steel plant, which has an annual flat steel production capacity of 2mn tonnes. The
plant will create 10,000 jobs. The new investment made Tosyali Group one of the country’s five largest
steel producers. Chairman of the group, Fuat Tosyali says that the company’s revenues, which is
expected to be USD 800mn this year, is likely to increase to USD 1.2bn next year.

Ittifak Holding expected to launch IPO this year. Chairman of Istanbul Stock Exchange, Huseyin Erkan, states that there might be one or two IPOs this year and one highly likely candidate to launch an IPO is Ittifak Holding. Erkan states that the holding company is carrying out the necessary procedures to get ready for the IPO and adds that if the applications for one or two IPOs are not received by the end of this year, these IPOs will definitely be launched in early-2010.

Interagro opens EUR 100mn bioethanol refinery

Interagro group, controlled by the local individual investor Ioan Niculae, completed the EUR 100mn investment in a bioethanol plant located in Zimnicea, Southern Romania. The plant will produce bioethanol but also vegetable oil for the domestic market and for export in Bulgaria. The group expects to sell the biofuel to the local refineries of OMV Petrom group, Rompetrol and Lukoil – which have to blend a share of green fuels in the final products delivered through the filling stations. The bioethanol refinery will employ 350, according to the company that has not disclosed many details about the capacity of the plant however.
